Administrator

Nicole McCaughey, LNHA

Received B.S. from the University of Cincinnati, 1998

LNHA Core, Ohio State University 2003

Internship at Deupree Community 2001-2002

Nicole served as the assistant administrator at Golden Age Care Center before coming to Adams County Manor to serve as the administrator in April of 2007. She has an excellent survey history at both facilities, accumulating multiple Perfect Surveys, Perfect Life Safety Surveys, and many excellent Resident and Family Satisfaction Surveys. Both facilities have received 4 and 5 star ratings during her tenure. Nicole has been a major factor in developing our in-house therapy team and maintaining a high skilled census. Nicole continues to develop policies and strategies to ensure that all of our residents are provided with quality care and treated with the up most dignity and respect; she also creates a great working environment for employees. Nicole has one son, Aidan, and in her spare time, she enjoys going to Aidan’s sporting events, riding her horse, Ryder, and playing volleyball. She also brings her Chihauhau, Winnie, to work on some days.

Jennifer Newman, RN DON

Jennifer became the Director of Nursing at Adams County Manor in July of 2014. Prior to accepting this position, Jennifer served in an administrative role with Adams County Manor as the MDS Coordinator and Clinical Manager since 2008. Jennifer has been in the healthcare field since 1999, receiving her Phlebotomy license and LPN license. She has served as a Phlebotomist, Charge Nurse, and Ancillary Nurse. Jennifer has gained a wide array of experience and education throughout her years in healthcare. Among the specialties that she brings to our team are wound care, Alzheimer’s disease, pain management, leadership skills, person centered care, MDS, geriatric nursing, behavior management and much more. When Jennifer is not at Adams County Manor she enjoys spending time with her family. She has been married to her husband Mike since 2002. Together they have two boys, Austin and Andrew. She also enjoys being outdoors, reading and sports.

Operations Manager

Ralph (Rick) Houser

Rick has been the Operations Manager for Morris Nursing Home and its Sister Facility, Adams County Manor, for over thirty years. Rick has worked all of his life from working on the farm to serving as a Fiscal Control Officer in the Human Resources department. In 1980 he made his debut in Healthcare when he began serving as the Business Office Supervisor for Brown County Hospital. He was brought into the Family owned company in 1982, by the original owner and brother Ben Houser, to be the operations manager of both facilities. Rick has been married to his wife, Sharon; they have two children and three grandchildren. His two children, Brendan and Meghan also work for Morris Nursing Home and Adams County Manor. Rick is also a Licensed Real Estate Broker, Owner and Operator of Houser Realty in Bethel, Ohio, and he writes stories and articles for the Peoples Defender out of West Union, Ohio.

Director of Orthopedic Rehabilitation

Dr. Chuck Miller

Dr. Chuck Miller has an orthopedic practice with concentrations in adult reconstructive, sports, and trauma. He is known for taking time with his patients and trying to make his patients as comfortable and knowledgeable about their medical condition as possible. He completed his medical degree at The Ohio State University– College of Medicine in Columbus, Ohio. His residency was completed at the Portsmouth Naval Hospital in the Orthopedic Residency Program. He completed his internship at the Naval Regional Medical Center in the Family Practice Residency Program. He is certified in the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and American College of Surgeons. He has many hospital and school affiliations.

Medical Director

Sabir Quraishi, M.D.

Adams County Manor Medical Director

Dr. Quraishi provides patient care in the Medical Surgical/Observation Unit of the Adams County Regional Medical Center. His physician office is located at 25800 SR 41, Peebles, Ohio. He completed his Medical Degree at S.N. Agra Medical College in Agra, India. His Internship and Residency was completed at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. He is certified by The American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Quraishi has been the Medical Director at Adams County Manor since January 2004.
